An adult doll collection with a bit of story thrown in. Do watch this space as my collection continues to grow. Do you love dolls also? Well, take a look at these shoddy photos of my skimpy doll collection taken with my pitiful camera loaded onto my defective computer for my weasly blog. Thanx for visiting!

One Ugly Sucker!

I scored this ugly sucker at a flea market for only £1. Who would pay more? He is called Professor Gangrene. He is the enemy of Action Man, I have tons of Action men but will spare you the pictures.

When his sticky dirty belly is squeezed, it's insides of green yuckiness is seen through his skin. It feels really gross.

Professor Gangrene really does it for me :D

Lee Majors

A friend gave me this Lee Majors doll some time ago, he kept it from his childhood. Do you remember the 6 Million Dollar Man?

This doll is bigger than the average doll, and came to me with no clothes and missing a few bits I might add, but it's still a collector's item.

And you can't beat a free doll!

You can look through the back of his head and see out of his left eye. Everything is magnified.

He holds an engine in his hand, and when his head is turned to the side and his back button is pressed, his bionic right arm lifts the heavy engine miraculously. WoW!

Now I just need the Bionic Woman doll :D

I LUV Making Doll Bedding

Of all accessories you can find for dolls there seems to be a great lack in finding decent pillows, shams and quilts for them. Being crafty with my sewing machine, I decided to put something together for my own collection. So far I've only made bedding for 11" dolls (Barbie size) but I suppose I can make bedding for larger baby dolls too.

Why make bedding when you don't even have a doll bed? Well... I sorted that one out as well. First I took an average sized paperback book and measured out a length of fabric needed to cover it. I stitched together an elasticated sheet, placed the paperback inside of it, then flipped it over to form a sheeted bed for the doll to lay upon. The dolls head rests upon the pillows of different lengths and shapes.

This is my Elvis and Blue lace set.

The pillows flip over to show different colours and fabric. My dolls just love it!!

I decided to start a separate page dedicated to my BIG DOLLS. Have a visit and see how my collection got started, find out why it started, and be thankful with me that it eventually ended. It's a crazy story.

Green Hair Doll

Space girl invasion, this green haired doll is not messing around. When I stepped into Devon Air Ambulance Charity Shop, she jumped out of their toy bin and into my hands. She demanded that I pay £1 for her and take her home to the 'others.'

I complied.

I found her to have a bathing suit underneath her space suit. Hmmm.
I used to have a friend named Jane with green hair just like this, therefore I'm naming her Jane Unplain.
And if I do happen to find a doll with purple hair, I'll name her Meme, because a certain person I know :D used to have purple hair.

Burst of Sunshine

I was feeling a bit down in the dumps the day I got this doll. Hubby came home from the store and pulled it out of his grocery bag. And what a surprise! It totally brightened my day! My husband knows the route to my heart!

I named her Jazz. She came without earrings and bracelet so I whipped out my bead box (behind on the left) and made her some colourful jewels to go with her funky outfit. I love her blue glitter purse but I really dig her silver shoes. Now, I need a pair like that! Maybe next time I start feeling under the weather I'll slip her shoes into my husbands wallet next to his grocery coupons. Big enought hint? :)

Just Joking You

A lady goes to Toys R Us to buy a Barbie doll. She tells the shop assistant that she needs to buy a Barbie but doesn't know what's available or the price.
The assistant replies, 'We have Tennis Barbie and she's £28.'
The lady asks, 'Well, anything else?'
'We have Equestrian Barbie, and she's £28.'
The lady asks, 'Anything else?'
'Well, we have Divorced Barbie and she's £250.'
The lady replies, 'I don't understand why Divorced Barbie is so expensive. The others were only £28. What's so special about Divorced Barbie?'
The assistant replies, 'Simple, she comes with Ken's car, his house, and all his other stuff.' (From "Heard The One About...?)

Where Did She Come From...

I have no idea! For the life of me I can't recall where this doll came from. I was really surprised when I found her in my sewing basket. She's a bit different from the rest.

She has adorable little red freckles on her face and two thin side braids. She looks a little bit country. I'm puzzled as to what to name her right now. As for what she's really called, I ain't a clue.

If you know this doll please inform me. There's a fog of mystery all around her. If she's hidding out in my house, in some type of witness protection program, she's just gonna have to forgive me for posting her picture.

Here are a group of friends who hang-out on my bookshelf. They aren't the snazziest of dressers but at least they're well covered. I made the matching safari set myself but it's not the best example of doll clothes I've made. I just stitched it together really quickly because I grew tired of seeing them both naked. Buying dolls at garage or car boot sales doesn't mean they'll come clothed. I was just happy they had all their fingers and toes. I don't ask for much.

Proper Lady

This is Simone from the south of France. She's about 70 yrs. old but plastic surgery updated her face to the roaring 1950's. (?) As a world traveler, Simone is always picking up little souveniers, bringing them home from her travels. Like these pearls from Milan, and the beautiful dress from Beverly Hills. Here Simone sits with two lions she picked up from Kenya. Her husband couldn't understand this choice of souvenire, right before the lions ate him. Then he understood.

Looks are deceiving...

Little sweet Ginger Lynn, with her fancy dress and big doe eyes. "Yes Ma'am" and "How you do, Sir?" and "Thank you ever so kindly." Don't let her sweet southern charm fool you. Ginger Lynn will try to steal your boyfriend before you can say sweet potato pie.
I found Ginger Lynn at a car-boot sale. She was thrown in with my purchase after I picked out some better dolls that I really wanted.
